  • Cauliflower Chickpea Salad
    Cauliflower should be available from mid to late April. You can use dried or tinned chickpeas. Add extra time when using dried chickpeas. This recipe contains 2tsp turmeric.
     
  • Red Lentil Dahl
    Dahl is an important part of Indian cuisine and often eaten with rice and vegetables. It’s a very healthy way of getting enough protein in your diet and red lentils also contain lots of fibre and vitamin B, essential for a proper nervous system. This recipe contains 2 tsp ground turmeric.
     
  • Potatoes with sesame seeds
    You can make it as spicy as you want by adding more or less chilli pepper to it. Serve this potato dish with pickled cucumber and (homemade) chutney. You can also add some (vegan) steaks or burgers. This recipe contains 1 tsp turmeric.
     
  • Falafel
    Falafel is made from chickpeas and spices. Traditionally served with houmous and pita bread. Add some lettuce, tomato or cucumber salads to make a nutritious meal. It usually is vegan and vegetarian and when using Orgran bread crumbs, also gluten free. This recipe contains 1/2 tsp turmeric.
     
  • Mung Bean and Kale Soup
    Nutritional fact: Mung beans are a healthy alternative to meat. They are relatively high in protein, iron, magnesium and especially vitamin B6, which is needed for proper absorption of vitamin B12. This recipe contains 1tsp turmeric.
     
  • Spicy lentil soup with pumpkin
    October can be cold too and this soup is a good way to warm up and also to use up the pumpkin! Serve it with your homemade chutney made in September. This recipe contains Ground turmeric to taste.

    This is a sweet and sour pickled side dish you would serve with any Indonesian rice table, but I have it with my own nasi goreng (another Dutch/Indonesian dish). This recipe contains 1tsp turmeric.
