Baronymill Orkney Beremeal - 1.5 kg

Bere is an ancient form of barley, with a unique appearance and taste, grown and milled in Orkney for over 300 years. 100% natural, it is perfect for baking bannocks, scones and biscuits.

Orkney Beremeal (sometimes called Bearmeal) is a flour made from Orkney barley (bere). This particular variety of barley can cope with Orkney's short growing season. Beremeal is sometimes known as barley flour.

It is great for baking bannocks, scones and biscuits.

It is grown and milled in a water wheel powered mill in Orkney, so has a very low environmental impact.
The mill is open to the public during summer time.
